Family Therapy

Family therapy is a type of psychological counseling (psychotherapy) that helps family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family therapy is often short term. It may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family’s situation. Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections and overcome stressful times. Treatment is geared to long term solutions.

Multi-Family Group Therapy

Multi-family group therapy treatment is an evidence-based intervention for treating persons with mental illness and substance abuse. It is an opportunity for families to learn from one another, to recognize that they are not alone and to gain support from others going through a similar time in their lives. These groups will be held in a variety of forums, depending on the needs of the population. Only the primary care providers or legal guardians are allowed to join the multi-family group due to confidentiality of the other families involved. If you have any questions in regard to this, please reach out to the Clinical Director for clarification.
