Helping a Loved One

As a parent, it is never easy to reach out for help with your child. It is also not easy watching your teen suffer with a mental health disorder or an addiction. Here at Hillcrest, we understand the pain and trauma that you the parent must be going through. To this effect, we endeavor to make the process as smooth, supportive and as healing as possible for you and your loved one.

Your confidentiality and the confidentiality of your child are of the highest priority for us. As well, we are available 24/7 to answer your queries, and concerns – from admissions, to insurance, to treatment progress and discussion of our individualized therapeutic aims and treatment modalities for your child.

From our experience, we also know that your child is greatly assisted through your support and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation journey, both during treatment, and post treatment. A parent’s calm demeanor and strength are imparted to the child through osmosis and your teen will sense your attitude, concerns, fears and so on. To this effect, we want to ensure that you are as calm as possible, knowing that you are supported by our professional staff throughout this process. We encourage you to take interest in our programs and to take advantage of our resources, such as our family therapy sessions, our on-site counselors at your disposal, and our professional medical staff available to conference with you at all times.

Assisting your loved one in times of crisis can be a very daunting experience. Please know that at Hillcrest we understand where you are coming from. Reaching out to us via a simple phone call can be the beginning of a life-changing healthy transformation for you and your loved one. We are here to support you and your family in every way that we can and guide you on this healing journey.
